An interdisciplinary work inspired by Cassia Kite’s "Pot Luck Dinner at Longboat Key Center for the Arts" (2015). Artist Kite translates color into a series of notes which New Renaissance Artist, Elizabeth A. Baker used as inspiration to create an original musical composition for the dance piece, "Before the Demolition," choreographed by Kellie Harmon and performed by Helen Hansen French at the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg. This work was also featured in the Skyway: A Contemporary Collaboration Exhibition in 2017.

The SOUNDSTITCHING performance at KANEKO with Collective, Chicago Academy for the Arts and the Omaha Under the Radar Festival Soundry musicians took place on July 8th at 1:30 p.m. The KANEKO and Joslyn Art Museum Soundstitchings were arranged by Dr. Stacey Barelos in collaboration with Cassia Kite's original hand written translations and Soundstitching components. The Collective performed an interpretive dance performance in tandem with the compositions.

The Schoolhouse Art Gallery Soundstitching was performed by Lilli Summerlin on her violin on June 23, 2017. Summerlin is a local violinst, who was interested in interpreting and arranging a work based on Kite's handwritten translations/scores. Summerlin performed the arrangement inside of the Schoolhouse Art Gallery, making the performance a site-based, site-responsive experience for those in attendance.
